Education

HELP Foundation believes that Education is a basic tool for social transformation and empowerment resulting in alleviation of poverty, improves health and productivity thus eliminates gender parity and promotes opportunities for upward mobility. From an individual perspective, education sparks a pursuit of knowledge and learning, fosters confidence and self-esteem, helps individuals to maximize their potential and engage in a meaningful manner in the civic, economic, cultural and social aspects of the society.

Education has been a key focus area of HELP Foundation since its inception. The Foundation established schools for the needy in the far of villages and areas, where there was no access to quality education.With the vision to make quality education accessible for economically deprived students, the Foundation established Shah Anwar Memorial Secondary School in Khumriyal, Kupwara in 2001. The school is well equipped with library, science laboratory, computer laboratory & sports club with hundreds of students passing every year. Another school namely  Foundation Public School was established in Shanpura & a middle school in Handwara, Kupwara.

Apart from establishing schools in different areas, assistance is also being provided to educational institutions including Alamdar Public School(Budgam), Nibble Education Society(Pattan), Children Welfare Society(Srinagar) , Lal Ded Memorial(Srinagar) & some government schools in the valley.

HELP Foundation provides educational support, scholarships and boarding lodging facilities to the students who are orphans, poor, disabled and from marginalized families or groups.
