WHO WE ARE

We are a community based humanitarian organization,  primarily working with vulnerable women and children. We are present in Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) since 1997. Our work is a thoughtful and humble effort of some like-minded people in response to the prolonged conflict situation in J&K and to address the needs of the victims of violence. We work with the most vulnerable and marginalized families within the communities, that have been directly or indirectly affected by the situation here. We are registered as a "Society" under an Indian law with the registration number 2905-S, and having our office location as 16-Gogji Bagh, srinagar city in J&K.
  • 2016 till date

    In the processes of rehabilitation of pellet victims of 2016 unrest.
  • 2014: Kashmir Floods-Disaster Response

    Help executed one of the largest relief program over five months worth 9 cr rupees for the victims of the natural disaster. More than 50 intuitional donors contributed to this relief program.
  • 2013: Kupwara Resource Centre

    Help established a resource centre for production of garments and Kashmir art. The centre was later handed over to women district association run and managed by women workers of the centre.
  • 2006-2007 First ever film festival

    First ever children’s film festival was organized in association with Rajiv Gandhi Foundation in Kashmir where several courtiers participated
  • 2005 major earth Quack Disaster response:

    Thousands of families from uri received relief materials serval houses were reconstructed and pre-fab structures were erected to accommodate thousands of victim’s temporarily
  • 2003: Mental Health Intervention:

    The first ever mental health counseling and guidance center was started by the foundation in view of the colossal. Mental Health problem being faced by women and children as a result of the of the ongoing turmoil
  • 2001: Establishment of Shehjar TM

    As a mean of livelihood, Help Foundation establishment several skill centers in craft and food production across Kashmir valley, it also helped traumatized sects to get engaged over considerable time.
  • 2000 Intervention in Education Sector

    A Major step was taken in the educational field. When the foundation adopted a small lower primary school at khumriyal kupwara was adopted
  • 1997 First Step

    Seven founder members lead by Mrs. Nighat Shafi got help foundation J&K registered with the state government on November,13
