"It is not only about learning, but the support I got here. The time spent at the centre is the best time od my day" said Gulshan (name changed) Gulshan is a 19 year old who stepped out of her house to end the prolonged financial scarcity at her home. On her friends suggestion, she joined the Cutting & Tailoring courses in Skill Development Centre in Inderhama. She carefully learnt the art & soon became comfortable with sewing machine & scissors. Even before formal completion of the course, she managed to borrow a sewing machine at home & started to sew cushion covers, simple ladies suit & face masks. Eventually, she started earning Rs. 3000 per month & has successfully added some income to the household. In the same manner, there are thousands of girls/women trained & benefitted from our Skill Development & Livelihood Program. Apart from running its Inderhama Centre, Help Foundation started several Skill Development Centre in various districts of J&K. From cutting & tailoring to garment designing, ari embroidery & fussion work to paper mache & wicker work, hundreds of women have established their income generation units employing other women.
